[FMR027] Mandrill Cuts 027: Editberto
We now give a very warm welcome to Febe Esquerro a.k.a Ediberto for the very first time to the label with two magnificent disco cuts, bringing us back to the representative 80’s sound. To start this new Odyssey as the name suggests, ‘Don’t Let Go’ samples a classic anthem from the ‘The Lopez Sisters’ with glorious piano chords making it a majestic extended round. On the other side ‘Brand New Sound’ takes us all the way to Kingston – Jamaica blending a sticky funky groove with time-honored synthesizers creating a very unconventional exotic blend.
